BC homicide investigators say the shootings that left 4 family members dead Monday in the Vancouver suburb of Richmond appears to be a case of murder-suicide.

Posted: Jan 28, 2022 11:58 AM PT | Last Updated: 4 hours ago

Sgt. David Lee, with the RCMP's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team , said the victims were all from the same family: a father, 74, a mother, 58, a son, 23, and another child, 21. "It's traumatic for all the neighbours involved and all the investigators," said Lee. "It was a very complex scene to deal with."

A weapon was located at the scene and ballistics is working to determine whether it was the gun used in the shooting, Lee said.
