Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Stephen Brown, deputy minister of health, presented the modelling's estimates Thursday morning.
In other words, Henry said B.C.'s rate of growth is being "positively impacted" by the public health measures that have been put in place in recent weeks. Henry added the effects of strict physical distancing measures are still yet to be seen because the virus has an incubation period of up to two weeks. "What I would like to see is flattening at least...but I'm recognizing that we're still seeing ongoing transmission in our community.""I hope that this is motivation for people to double down on what we're doing," she said.
With that, provincial health officials have outlined what the province's plans are if cases should dramatically increase here. In total, B.C. has 705 ventilator-capable hospital beds. But that doesn't take into account other ventilators in non-critical care, so in fact the province's total number of available ventilators is over 1,200.
And not taking into account the nearly 1 million Canadians that returned LAST WEEK... Plus Canadians can still travel between provinces. Way too early to be telling people this.
This is BS.
Ya think?
Sorry, you have to build a prediction model using time series analysis ( ARIMA ) for that . I think .
Great news! But this is no reason to become complacent. We need to keep doing what we're doing!!
proof that you can manipulate graphs to 'prove' whatever outcome you want
Modeling like the climate change crap.
