B.C. health officials have announced 67 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province, as well as two additional deaths from the novel coronavirus.

The update on positive tests from provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Adrian Dix came in a written statement Friday, after the pair spoke earlier in the day about the province's COVID-19 modelling.

"The evidence is clear: with every person in British Columbia 100 per cent committed to physical distancing, we can flatten the curve. Over the next two weeks we must be united in this one goal." To date, most of the now 16 deaths in the province have been associated with an outbreak at Lynn Valley Care Centre in North Vancouver.

CTV heads: why can’t all the 🇨🇦networks, tv and radio, broadcast MORE about the necessary precautions we all need to take during this crisis ? Run CHYRONs continuously on tv with simple messages? Radio messages top + bottom of every hour? PLEASE!! Recovery in ontario is still at 8 while BC has 173 recovered.. are recoveries in Ontario not being recorded or are there no recoveries here ? I wonder how they define the recovery ? Are those ppl be tested negative or just they feel ok now. Ontario announce that they will consider the ppl who feels ok as a recovery, and lift them from the isolation due to the shortage of test kits.
