For people not seeing the reasoning behind this I think it goes like this: If drugs are made legal to possess the people taking the drugs might be more inclined to go to safe injection sites and use testing kits that can be provided to determine what the drug may be cut with.

As a libertarian, I disagree with drug laws fundamentally. But if you think improving access to drugs by removing barriers is somehow going to reduce overdoses, you've done some serious mental gymnastics to get there.
