Arriving in Brussels from the weekend’s G7 summit in England, Biden again sought to rally Western allies to support a U.S. strategy to contain China’s military rise as well as showing unity in the face of Russian aggression

“Article Five is a sacred obligation,” Biden said, referring to the transatlantic alliance’s collective defence pledge. “I want all Europe to know that the United States is there,” he said after arriving in his black presidential limousine.“NATO is critically important to us,” said Biden, who is seeking to mend ties after Trump’s denigration of the nuclear-armed alliance over the past four years and what Trump said were its “delinquent” members.

Allied leaders are concerned about Russia’s recent military build-up near Ukraine, as well as its covert and cyber attacks to undermine Western states, although Moscow denies any wrongdoing. China is no longer seen as a benign trading partner. “When it comes to China, I don’t think anybody around the table wants to descend into a new Cold War with China,” he said.Since Russia’s 2014 annexation of Crimea, NATO has modernized its defences but has only recently begun to look more seriously at any potential threat from Chinese ambitions.

Hmm, then why didn't you give us our F-35 planes, old wolf! Although there is no need anymore, we will produce better than the F-35 anyway.

Of course it is if one believes in western values being a long hard path in ethical ideals.

Well thank goodness for that. Canada still using antiques.

His handlers are so out of touch with reality and voters it isn’t even funny. Enjoy these two years Democrats. Quotes like this will return Trump or like minded republicans to office.

Im sure you can find lots of Canadians who would be honoured to lay down their lives for Erdogan.

I'd much rather be on the USA side of the border when the defending begins, if at all possible.
