Amid the regular emergence of new details from a series of investigations into the nearly $60-million procurement of the ArriveCan application, the political impact on the governing Liberals isn't something that will fade away, say observers. “This story continues to get worse and worse, it's almost staggering that at this point.

The politics of this issue are “inextricably linked,” according to Wudrick, and although the opposition may want to make political hay about the issue, the real concern from a non-partisan standpoint should be to identify where the weak links are in the government procurement processes and fix them.
