Blockades and protests took place across Canada, including in Toronto, where thousands of commuters were stymied during rush hour

Canadian National Railway Co. served an injunction Monday night and again on Tuesday to protesters encamped on a railway in Hamilton. The protesters left late Tuesday evening. The encampment blocked GO train commuter traffic and CN freight trains as the dispute over the $6.6-billion Coastal GasLink natural gas pipeline showed no signs of abating. The regional transit agency Metrolinx said disruptions took place on or near three separate GO rail lines in Toronto during rush hour.

Those arrested included Norman Stephens, a hereditary chief of the Gitxsan Nation, which neighbours Wet’suwet’en Nation. “The blockade at Kahnawake has severed vital rail connections and severely impacted CP’s operations, customers and the broader economy. Outside of this blockade other ‘copycat’ blockades, including some not involving Indigenous peoples, have developed,” CP said.

Mr. Garneau said the federal government has the power to force a rail company to allow other companies on its lines, but did not use that power in this situation, and instead suggested to the companies they should co-operate.

It's about time.

Arrest them as soon as they go onto the railway property. Charge them with as many crimes as supported by facts. No exceptions.

As Bill Blair parrots daily, “Canada is a Rule of Law country.” Looks like that rule of law is working really well.

Water cannons,rubber bullets

Good it’s about time, the on going war with the French, English and the First Nations has to stop, this bunch won’t be able to get any new immigrant slaves to work to fill there pockets

The actual Indian chief from Canada 🇨🇦 say this is all just paid NGOs from the USA 🇺🇸 I believe him. Trudeau is collapsing capitalism, changing out the foundation of government from democracy to Marxism. It’s all just distraction.

Just keep arresting them.

More will pop up. All of the freeloaders in 🇨🇦 are slithering out of the weeds for the Trudeau tax funded illegal blockade negotiations...I mean “dialogue”, and they’re being released to return immediately. That’s where the Trudeau justice bar is right now.
