Grey Cup champion expected to play multiple positions for NFL squad

Streveler signed with the Arizona Cardinals on Feb. 4, 2020.The Arizona Cardinals signed Canadian Football League quarterback Chris Streveler, a reigning Grey Cup champion, to a futures contract on Tuesday.

Streveler, 25, helped the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to victory in the 107th Grey Cup in November in a multi-faceted role, going 3 of 3 for 39 yards and a touchdown through the air while adding nine carries for 30 yards and a 13-yard reception. An undrafted product out of South Dakota in 2018, Streveler is viewed as a Swiss Army knife type of player like New Orleans’ Taysom Hill, who plays a variety of positions on offense and special teams.Streveler was not the Blue Bombers’ primary starting quarterback, but he started as an injury replacement in both 2018 and 2019.
