Small northern Ontario town has second double homicide in two weeks

Tuesday night around 8 p.m., Kirkland Lake OPP went to a Kirkpatrick Street residence to do a well-being check, where officers found the bodies of a male and a female.

OPP continue to maintain that there's no imminent threat to public safety, though people are reminded to be aware of their personal safety at all times. The names of this week's victims have not been released yet. The release of names is usually after the post-mortem. The date for that isn't known yet.Investigators are seeing if there are any links between the two homicides, he said.
