Amid soaring gas prices, Republicans in U.S. Congress bring up Keystone XL decision

Biden administration officials did not immediately respond Wednesday to questions about Canadian energy imports, which the White House is said to be anxious to increase to ease supply pressures that are largely the result of a North American ban on Russian energy. The White House has, however, shrugged off the notion that a different outcome on Keystone XL would have had any impact on the current price of gas — a message repeated Wednesday by Virginia Democrat Rep. Donald McEachin.

Neither point, however, has discouraged Republicans from using the project against Biden, especially with Canada and the U.S. both blocking imports of Russian oil, gas and coal as part of a broad and expanding suite of punishing economic sanctions in response to Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. The Canadian Embassy in Washington responded to inquiries with a statement confirming only that Canada is hard at work with “international partners in Europe and around the world” to end the dependence of other countries on Russian energy.

So, the truth then. It is all his fault

Yes it is his fault What are you trying to tell us otherwise ? Biden is a non existent or incapable leader and it is a fact ! Who is at the helm ? Obama era officials running the country and lieing about gas price hike Atleast stop lieing ! Have some respect for the electorate

That crude was never destined for the USA (it was to be shipped out of the USA) and from what I remember hearing the type that comes from the Tar Sands in Alberta is not suitable for most USA uses.

Ahead of Budget 2022, Liberals eye more spending as inflation fears grow - National | Globalnews.caFresh budget spending could be risky at a time when inflation is already running at a 30-year high, say experts ahead of the federal budget. This what liberals do. Spend, spend, spend on policies for lazy people while making life more difficult for those who actually work and pay taxes. is trying to make a story before the budget is even released....where do these 'fears' originate ? from a lazy reporter in your newsroom perhaps ? The cost of living will continue to rise regardless of what is in the new budget. People need a glbi as there is a proven way to pay for it without adding new debt. If you want to help low income and disability, advocate for glbi.
