Fiona’s track as of 3 p.m. Tuesday has the storm near Cape Breton Thursday, with the cone of uncertainty stretching from eastern Nova Scotia and southwest Newfoundland.Almost everyone in Atlantic Canada is watching for hurricane Fiona.

The major hurricane is currently moving northward over open waters and will begin a turn to the northeast today, passing near Bermuda late Thursday night into early Friday morning.Fiona is then forecast to approach south of Atlantic Canada, but it's still unknown just where Fiona will track in our region.

This trough will capture Fiona, and track and timing of Fiona and the trough will be key to where the storm tracks. As a result, the cone of uncertainty around the storm ranges from eastern Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island to the Burin Peninsula in Newfoundland.
