“These weapons had all been left in plain sight, stored carelessly throughout the garage,” ALERT Medicine Hat acting Staff Sgt. David Gornisiewicz said in a news release. “Some of the guns our officers seized were also found loaded, which could have been a very dangerous situation if they had ended up in the wrong hands.”Those include possession of stolen property over $5,000, 12 counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, 11 counts of careless storage of a firearm and 26 charges related to breaching prohibition orders. Ails is bound by two firearms prohibitions, which included a lifetime ban on the possession of most weapons.
