Alberta heavyweight Tanner (The Bulldozer) Boser knocked out Philipe (Monstro) Lins in the first round on the undercard of a UFC Fight Night show Saturday.

The 28-year-old from Bonnyville, Alta., who now calls Edmonton home, earned a basic purse of US$12,000 for the fight plus a matching win bonus.

Boser, who called out Maurice Greene after the win, suggested he should get a cut of the money he had saved the UFC by denying Lins his win bonus. Boser was coming off a December loss in Busan, South Korea, to France’s Ciryl Gane, a former heavyweight champion in the Montreal-based TKO promotion.
