Air Canada said Sunday it's looking into how crew members could have disembarked from a plane without noticing a sleeping passenger who was left behind.

The airline was responding to an incident involving a woman who described waking up "all alone" on a "cold dark" aircraft after a flight to Toronto earlier this month.

The airline confirmed the incident took place but declined to comment on its disembarking procedures or how the passenger may have been overlooked. Adams wrote that after she woke up, she called Noel-Dale to try to explain what happened, but her phone died and she couldn't charge it because power to the plane was off. She said she was "full on panicking" by the time she found the "walky talky thingys in the cockpit," which also didn't work.

The passenger wrote that Air Canada personnel asked if she was OK and whether she would like a limo and hotel, but she declined the offer. She said airline representatives apologized and said they would investigate.

All she wants is to get a big bag of cash the airline isn’t a babysitter ya they maybe should have found her but maybe you should sleep in a bed not on the plane

How did she not wake up when everyone was getting off? Its loud. Sleeping pills I’m assuming

Hiding in the bathroom? This story,, as told, doesn’t make sense.

Maybe shes an international smuggler thats trying not to draw attention

First off if you have limited cell service and you don’t call 911 first and tweet your friend? That seems weird. We need this to be thoroughly investigated. Someone on that flight took pictures of her sleeping. Plus the ground crew cleans up after a flight. Very odd.

She should have went out the emergency exit and deployed the chute...😂

I’d like to hear from other passengers on the plane — especially the ones sitting beside her.

yeah passengers missed her flight attendants missed her then 3rd layer the groomers missed her.....This reeks so badly of BS...

To claim you are sleeping during landing then sleep right through all the chaos when everyone grabs their bags coats etc..I call BS she was drunk, on drugs or plainly hiding so she can do exactly what she has done hire a lawyer to get some cash and attention..

Wah, wah , wahhhh....Western problems lol

Something seems off, been in a lot of planes and cannot remember a single time I wasn’t told to put my seat and tray up before landing. Possible she was hiding somewhere or shouldn’t have been on this plane? Idk really just seems odd, can’t see them not seeing her laying there.

This woman has hired a lawyer. To me, this is not something for litigation. I was locked in a train station, late at night, while using the washroom, after getting off the last train. It was an oversight. I managed to get security's attention. No cell phones, back then.

Boo-hoo

Why didn't any of the other passengers try to wake up their sleeping fellow passenger?

Just like kids left on school buses never should happen.

Amazing! Air Canada is spiraling down HARDDDD.
