An aging population and the stress of managing the pandemic saw the ranks of Canada's health-care workers swell by 204,000 between 2016 and 2021.

The number of health-care workers in Canada increased almost 17 per cent between 2016 and 2021, as the country reeled from the stress of the pandemic and the ongoing challenge of an aging population.

They may have hired 204,000 health care workers in that time, but how many left the industry during that time through retirement, disability and death? Let's be realistic here and tell the WHOLE story. The Healthcare system in Canada, especially nursing staff has been suffering.

Requiring healthcare workers to be educated before entering the field, isn't an 'obstacle' as you say, it ensures our high standards of care are maintained.

Just what jobs swelled in healthcare? Temp jobs? Nurse's to administer vaccine? Thats a very general statement. Don't think that gives an accurate picture of whats happening.

A flood of stats,meanwhile ppl. wait yrs for cancer related operation,''death care''is irreparable, and we are supporting a bogus war so USA can achieve world domination.

With all the university educated people (more then any other period in history) why is the world becoming a more dangerous place? Something is terribly out of sync.
