The provincial government confirms 12.4 per cent of eligible voters cast a ballot in the five days of advance voting that ended on Nov. 5.
Advance voting numbers for the byelection were much smaller than those of the 2019 provincial general election where 30 per cent of eligible voters in Brooks-Medicine Hat cast a ballot ahead of time. A byelection was called for the riding on Oct. 11 after UCP MLA Michaela Frey announced her resignation.
