Moving the reunion from Ottawa in the first place was a sign of weakness, and it doesn’t matter whether the protest takes place or not in Winnipeg. Why the city has been drawn into this is hard to fathom. Manitoba, let alone Winnipeg, has nothing to do with federal COVID mandates that spawned the siege of Ottawa last February, and the confusion now surrounding the protest is telling.
Unrealistic as their demands were, the protesters still had COVID mandates to rally around. They also caught Ottawa police and city government off-guard last year, and before anyone realized the danger, the protesters were fully entrenched in the capital. It took the extraordinary measure of the Emergencies Act to clear them out.
The other harsh reality for protesters is a police force that has learned its lessons and is now fully prepared to deal with public disturbance. When organizers decided to move their reunion from Ottawa, it wasn’t because police prevented them from organizing a peaceful protest. It was because of the police warning that trucks would not be allowed downtown and any troublemakers would face the full force of the law.
The overlords in the Federal govt forced vax mandates on the masses to keep jobs, socialize and travel. The 'Freedom Convoy' protesters recognized this injustice. Surely plantation owners of the past must have forced inoculations on their property to keep them healthy?
Seems like reality is catching up with downtown Ottawa....businesses are suffering. I know many people no longer want to visit Ottawa, because of the way people were treated.

Counter to what MSM whores, like Adam here, tried to tell everyone, is that the root of the Convoy movement really was about Mandates and nothing else. Mandates are gone, movement is over. Not a surprise. Mandates return, so does movement in larger numbers.
