Abbotsford police investigating after woman assaulted near Mill Lake

The woman was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries before her release later the same day.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early thirties, standing 5′- 5’6″, with dark brown hair, a scruffy beard and partially rotted teeth. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black pants, and fled the scene on a bicycle.Police said several vehicles drove past the victim as she tried to flag someone down for help. Investigators are now appealing to the public for dashcam footage or witnesses to the incident.

Those with information about this investigation are asked to contact the APD’s Major Crime Unit at 604-859-5225.
