With track conditions rated with a three-second variant, Gerard Kennedy sent the seven-year-old gelding to the lead in the field of four and would fend off a late challenge from Two Tone Terror to win by two-and-a-half lengths for owner Joe Lewis. Gentry Seelster finished third and Dellas Playboy fourth.Kennedy, Ryan Campbell and Adam Lynk all had a pair of wins on the day.
Lynk's wins included Pat's Pride, who won his fourth of the season for owner Lorne Grant in 2:04.2, before rallying Cowboy Gilles to his 30th lifetime win, in 2:07.1 for owner Geoff Lynch. Other winners on the day included: The Ironman for Jason MacNeil and owner Joe Nearing in 2:06.3; Red Rum She Wrote for owner, trainer and driver Martin Bates in 2:02; and Kiss Me I'm Irish for Mark Pezzarello and owners Bernie, Joseph and Ian MacNeil in 2:04. Fans wagered $10,104 on the program, with the next live card of racing set to go to post this Saturday at 1 p.m.
