After recording the lowest daily numbers since mid-April Friday, Quebec's public health authorities announced Saturday that 82 more people have died of COVID-19, and 763 more cases have been confirmed.

The number of hospitalizations dropped by 59 from Friday, with 1,763 receiving treatment including 179 in intensive care, which is 12 less than the day before.Quebec began reopening retail stores, elementary schools and daycares off the island of Montreal May 11, but Premier Francois Legault announced Thursday that schools will only open again in the fall in Montreal due to the continuing high numbers in the region. Daycares in Montreal will remain closed until at least June 1.

Montreal continues to be the hardest hit region in Canada by the virus with 372 new cases confirmed Saturday for a total of 21,410.

Quebec is such a basket case both economically and socially. They're such an embarrassment.

Part two . It was a disaster waiting to happen. Hopefully instead of false promises from the government. Like previous governments. That will actually do something .

Everyone takes a bird of the death , we these persons chronic diseases before . Or were they critically ill. Lot of people are in those homes because there family cannot take of them . Because they have underline issues . It been like that since the 80 Part one .

Send more of Alberta’s “dirty oil money” to help fight this chinese virus or they will have another tantrum.

Maybe stop immigrants from coming in and take care of the people seniors and all and don’t use kids as tests by sending to school. I think roads should all be disinfected and playgrounds and sidewalks
