RCMP said emergency personnel were called to the crash on Highway 101 in Grosses Coques, shortly before 2 p.m.On arrival, officers learned a Ford Edge travelling on the highway struck the driver of a parked Kia Soul, who was outside of their vehicle, speaking with another driver parked behind them.

The driver of the Kia, a Digby woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger of the vehicle, a 74-year-old Digby man, was not injured. The driver of the Ford, a 76-year-old Kings County woman, and the motorist parked behind the Kia did not suffer injuries.
