We could look back at the upcoming draft and say Rui Hachimura is the best player in this class. Yes, better than Zion Williamson and R.J. Barrett. Hachimura had a strong season, averaging 20.1 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game. He finished the year as the third-leading scorer in the WCC. He’s improved a lot in his third year, as he averaged just 2.6 points per game as a freshman.

Right now, he uses his brute force to make his way to the rim and physically dominate undermanned opponents. He also provides some positional flexibility as he is equally comfortable playing both the small forward and power forward positions. Having played for both the Japanese national team and Gonzaga, he’s adept at carrying a team even if he is still very raw.
