After a pandemic-induced hiatus, the Vancouver International Auto Show came back with a bang for 2024, setting an attendance record of 129,034 over the five-day event, according to organizers.
The show, which ran March 20-24 at Vancouver’s waterfront convention centre, also set a single-day record of 39,823 on Saturday, besting 2018’s 31,596. The show featured 31 brands and more than 200 vehicles, including a record number of electric and hybrid vehicles, such as the Tesla Cybertruck in its first appearance here, organizers said.
The show this year expanded the EV and PHEV test-drive experience, allowing potential customers to sample more than 49 green vehicles. A record 3,425 people took advantage of the opportunity; the old record was 2,700 test drives in 2019.
