Bc citizens are being ripped off. High taxes but no service. It's theft.

Higher numbers are better right adriandix ?

not surprised to see this. Dismal showing bcndp

We have walk-in clinics? The ones we used to go to have all closed

This is not true. You are lucky to even be able to get through on the phone first thing in the morning with all of the people that are waiting on hold let alone be able to get an appointment.

I'm referring to Victoria bc. You have to be on hold before the clinic opens and usually by 5 or 10 minutes after they are already full.

That's actually not even accurate because most of the time you can't even get into a walk-in clinic because they're already booked up first thing in the morning. You're actually lucky if you can be seen. 😢

In Victoria there are no “wait times” at clinics because waiting isn’t an option! You call at 8am & you may or may not get an appt. If not, you have to call again the next day. Ppl are going to the ER for prescription refills! PLEASE WRITE AN ACCURATE ARTICLE ABOUT THIS ISSUE!

Comox Valley will have only one walk in clinic when Washington Park closes at the end of April. Only one small clinic at our local Walmart for Courtenay, Comox, Cumberland, Merville and Black Creek.

This is BS. I live in Victoria and there are no “walk in clinics.” If you need to see a doctor you have to phone at 8am (along with hundreds of other ppl) & pray you get through before all appointments are gone. There is no option to “wait” for an appointment. It’s shocking.

JEVLloyd Everything is slow in BC, everything, 40 years ago you could not even by a waffle maker in BC

I live in BC. Every walk-in clinic in my area is CLOSED! We need to talk about this issue as well!

From all the complaints about Doug Ford, who knows he's doing the best in the country.

Takes the a special kind of “best health minister in Canada” to achieve the worst results.

My husband hasn't had a Family Dr. for a year & went to a Walk-In clinic lately expecting he'd have to wait. Little did he know that he'd have to wait overnight, b/c the only way to see a Dr. was to turn up the *next day* at 8a.m. Unacceptable!

I see Quebec did not provide data. Used to be 2-4 hours.

If there's a walk in to begin with, several shut down during the pandemic and we have one left in town, otherwise its emerg at the hospital

What walk in clinics?

or some places in BC the wait time is NEVER because we dont have walk in clinics.

People can get into walk in clinics? First thing in the morning, they're all at capacity. It's a joke.

79 mins in BC? Try days of trying being turned away due to capacity and lack of DRs before going to ER...

B.C.'s economy, health care and housing to be the focus of throne speechBritish Columbia's economy will be a key focus in the throne speech as politicians return to the legislature for the spring sitting. What an abject disappointment and failure Dave_Eby has been so far. All hot air and no substance just like the rest of the NDP MLA. So sad. Recall these muppets and give them the gift of an early retirement! Let us guess: It will ignore the poorest 20% of the population and keep them at below poverty rates because all the money went to those who already have more than enough? Will Dave_Eby hide the un-housed behind another bus or will he just use it to run them over?
