The Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport Hotel is currently being used as a federal quarantine site for travellers entering Canada from abroad, and is managed by the Public Health Agency of Canada .
The statement went on to say that the “risk to the public remains low” as the hotel is a designated quarantine facility that is not open to the general public for use. In its statement Tuesday, Toronto Public Health said the hotel has already complied with all of its recommendations. A Section 22 order issued by de Villa last month gives the health unit the authority to partially or fully close down a workplace where five or more COVID-19 cases have been reported within the past 14 days.
Is this surprising? It’s a Covid quarantine hotel.
That is why people need to go to their own home and quarantine. What a joke this is.
Pathetic. First it turns out that those who refused to quarantine in these hotels didn't get a fine. Then it turns out that all of us who were dragged there against our will, got ripped off $2000, basically starving for 3 days, got exposed to the virus there. Law suits are coming
Trudeau has such wonderful ideas.
And where do you think they got covid from? they work near Pearson
Oh look CP24 a part of CTV owned by bell media. Who is to blame? Wouldn't need them if the so called privileged didn't travel.
So… why weren’t the staff given appropriate PPE? You know cases are very likely coming thru the door. Inexcusable really
Anyone surprised? Pics and vids show people hanging out in large groups, roaming the common areas etc. Staff are afraid to control guests.
I guess you could say the quarantine hotel is working, sucks for those that get it though
Uh oh We need to close these places
