The sky being blue, or water being wet is unfair to the perpetually whining child that is Alberta. We could throw billions of dollars at the province, every month, and they'd still cry about something. Canada

The majority have no idea what equalization means. They are just parroting their feeble premier.

The comedy in all of this is, if you asked Albertans, 'Should we get rid of taxes?' Everyone would agree. Does it mean taxes are going away? Of course not. This was a stupid referendum on a program that is federally controlled. Why isn't the National Post explaining that.

The majority of only 22% who voted!!!!!

Funny thing is the federal govt could easily provide more direct funding to infrastructure, etc. in Alberta to address the issue. Equalisation doesn't even need to go away. Problem solved.

To be fair, the majority of Albertans voted for a moron as well.

Well, the rest of Canada created alberta, so some history might be worthwhile.

Yes, that's what happens when a message is pumped at people 24/7 by people who have enough money to astroturf their way to a referendum. Now ask them specifically *how* it's unfair and see what the results are. Chances are, you're going to get the same 2-3 answers if anything.

So the ucp were somewhat successful at one of their disinformation campaigns. 🤔 Too bad for them it amounts to a big nothingburger.
