Falcons, which happen to be Bowling Green State University's mascot, hatched just steps away from campus... and it was all caught on camera with a bird's eye view!
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University ’s mascot is the falcon, but you won’t just see a costumed one hyping up the crowds at a game!
A pair of peregrine falcons just welcomed three hatchlings in the Wood County Courthouse clock tower just steps away from the BGSU campus! This is the 16th straight year these peregrine falcons returned to the Wood County Courthouse clock tower to lay eggs.
Their annual return is a sure sign of spring for students and staff, so a partnership between BGSU and the Wood County Commissioners created The Falcon Cam is a 24/7 stream that provides a bird’s eye view of the sights and sounds of the nest. In the first days of May, the falcons welcomed two new hatchlings out of their three eggs!
