Eight people have been arrested from the remote community of Nauiyu amid an eruption of violence and fighting and break-ins. Community members say they are at a loss for solutions.

Last year a man died after being struck by an arrow in the remote Northern Territory community of Peppimenarti, about 100 kilometres from Nauiyu.Catherine Liddy from the Green River Aboriginal Corporation has lived in the community of Nauiyu for several years and says people have been fearful to go out after dark.
Nauiyu began as a mission, set up as a place where Indigenous children from all over Northern Australia were brought for an education.A closed meeting was held on Tuesday, with elders, government representatives, police, a couple of members of the public and business owners, but former Nauiyu Community Police Officer Mark Casey said the problem remains unresolved.
Ms Fyles said the government was looking at the "factors in this situation" and how they can be avoided in the future.
