DALE COUNTY , Ala. - A man has been charged with murder after a deadly single-vehicle crash on Sunday night in Dale County . According to information released by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency on Monday, a 2007 Jeep Commander was moving near the intersection of Dale County Road 1 and Alabama Highway 92 , between Clayhatchee and Enterprise , when at around 10:30 p.m. the vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 38-year-old Alfonzo Nance of Geneva, was injured in the accident and had to be transported to Enterprise Medical Center for additional treatment. The passenger, 66-year-old Linda White also of Geneva, was ultimately pronounced dead at an area hospital, according to Dale County Coroner John Cawley.
While additional details regarding the incident are limited at this time due to it being an ongoing investigation by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division, records show that Nance was arrested on Monday and has been charged with one count of Reckless Murder.
