It has been incredibly hard without him, and I feel like my confidence has lowered and my anxiety has increased since his passing.” For Duckable and the thousands of others in this video’s comments section—many of them teenagers—this long-dead meme has become an anonymous safe space for processing difficult experiences, and an unlikely carrier of coming of age stories.
