Young Thug says LilNasX shouldn't have come out publicly: 'Backlash can come behind anything'
's Adam 22 caught up with Thugger in his trailer prior to his performance at Wireless Festival across the pond earlier in July. Thug showed love to the next generation of rappers, but as someone who was no stranger to backlash when trying to break into rap, the ATL native believes Lil Nas X shouldn't have"I feel like he probably shouldn’t have told the world, because these days motherfuckers is just all judgement," said Thugger. "It ain’t even about the music no more.
The "Digits" rapper continued to applaud his decision to come out during Pride Month. "It wasn't a bad idea," Thug stated. "It was most definitely the best time to do it during Pride [Month]. That was a genius move. He's young so I know he's going to be dealing with it in his mind. I've dealt with this shit before, so that's why I was like, 'Fuck. He should have never said that.
Overall, Thug is a huge fan of Nas X's movement, and has been an OG of sorts to his fellow ATLien.
