A sewer plant in York County has been evacuated due to a possible methane gas leak.Above: Photos from the scene.The potential leak was reported at the plant, located in the 1700 block of Blackbridge Road in Manchester Township. A high methane gas alarm activated around 9:30 a.m.
Columbia Gas has been notified and the York County Hazmat Team is already there. At least a half dozen emergency vehicles are in the plant's driveway. So far, no injuries have been reported.Shortly after noon, WGAL reporter Ed Weinstock said there was a slight smell of gas outside the plant. This is an active incident.Stay with WGAL for updates.
