You may have seen two incredibly fabulous, impeccably dressed women on the 2024 Oscars red carpet earlier this evening: Yi Yan Fuei and Chang Li Hua. The stars of the equally endearing and funny documentary short film, Năi Nai & Wài Pó, hit their first Academy Awards in style. Director Sean Wang’s maternal and paternal grandmothers opted for sharp suiting for the occasion—both in custom Rodarte.
Like Yi, she also donned a pair of sunglasses and a red rose boutonnière. Vogue’s red carpet correspondents report that Yi and Chang have enlivened the carpet and delighted attendees with their infectious energy and top-tier style. The two were reportedly shouting “Grannies coming through!” as they were wheeled down the carpet by Wang and cinematographer Sam Davis.
