United State Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh, Gov. Tom Wolf and officials from Yellow Corp. were on hand Tuesday morning to cut the ribbon on the new training school.
The new training school will open next week in Middlesex Township. This is Yellow Corp.’s first training school in the state.
“You actually have a job while you’re going through the program,” Yellow Corp. CEO Darren Hawkins said. “We’re pleased that our 17th driving academy will soon open, giving men and women the opportunity to train for a commercial driver’s license and begin a new career in trucking,” Hawkins said. “Truckers are American heroes, responsible for delivering essential goods to businesses and homes coast to coast.”
