The New York Yankees are calling up one of their top prospects.Ben Rice, the Yankees' No. 12 overall prospect according to MLB Pipeline, will be called up to replace an injured All-Star, according to multiple reports. Joel Sherman of the New York Post was first to report the news.Rice is coming up to replace Anthony Rizzo, who left the Yankees' Sunday night game against the Boston Red Sox after colliding with reliever Brennan Bernardino on a play at first base.

333/.440/.619 with an OPS of 1.059.Rice is listed as a catcher as his primary position but also plays first base. It appears the Yankees will be quick to throw him in the infield and try him out at first base in light of Rizzo's injury.Aside from Rice, the Yankees' options at first base are limited. D.J. LeMahieu, a 14-year veteran, has 1,371.2 career innings at first base, including 29 innings at the position this year.
