Ripple President Monica Long predicts that the US will see more crypto spot ETFs this year, with XRP likely to be next in line after bitcoin and ether. Long cites favorable US crypto regulations and the Trump administration's crypto-friendly stance as reasons for this optimism. She also expects Ripple's new stablecoin, RLUSD, to become a major part of the firm's payments and money businesses.
Since November, the speculative optimism among traders has been that a crypto-friendly Trump administration could benefit tokens and products linked to U.S.-based companies.
“I think we will see one very soon,” Long said. “I think that we will see more crypto spot ETFs this year coming out of the US, and I think XRP is likely to be next in line after bitcoin and ether.” Long added that Ripple’s new RLUSD stablecoin will be available on more exchanges “imminently” and expects it to become a major part of the firm’s payments and money businesses.
