A Fresno woman was shot in Oakland early Monday.
The woman was in stable condition at a hospital recovering from a gunshot wound to her chest, authorities said.
The shooting happened just after 12 a.m. Monday in the 1400 block of 13th Avenue, a mixture of homes and small businesses.Unprecedented class-action settlement reached in FCI Dublin women’s prison lawsuit alleging years of abuse and retaliation by guards The woman claimed she did not know who shot her or why, authorities said. But officers later found a witness who told them she had been shot after getting into an argument with the occupants of a vehicle.
