A woman is in critical condition after she was was pulled from Boulder Creek in the 400 block of Arapahoe Avenue on Thursday, according to officials.
Around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Boulder Fire-Rescue responded to a call for a water rescue after a woman was seen floating unconscious near Eben Fine Park.
First responders and bystanders worked together to pull the woman from the creek, at which point first aid was administered before she was rushed to the hospital. She remains in critical condition. Stuart Boyce, who lives nearby, said he saw two men go into the water and fight against the current to retrieve the woman who at that point was hung up on a rock. The two men then dragged her over to Boyce’s deck. Search and rescue showed up shortly after and immediately brought a line across the creek to take the woman back across to an ambulance on the creek path. Boyce said he observed the water levels as being, “high and running fast.
