A man was arrested Sunday after police said he kidnapped a woman in North Carolina and made her drive him to a Walmart in South Carolina.
A North Myrtle Beach police report said the victim picked up Danny Denton, 51, at his Youngsville, North Carolina home to take him to the grocery store. When she arrived, Denton was "irate" and accused her of placing snakes inside the home, the report said.
The victim reportedly flashed her high beams and brake lights during the drive to North Myrtle Beach to gain the attention of other drivers but it did not help. Police report Denton sat directly behind the victim and threatened to stab her if she did not comply.
