The elderly cyclist passed away in hospital after the collision in Angus on Friday afternoon
The 74-year-old woman died in hospital following the collision with the silver Ford Focus on the B965 Friockheim to Arbroath Road.
A 76-year-old man, who was also on a bike, was taken to hospital after the incident which took place at around 2.25pm on Friday. The driver of the car, a 25-year-old man, was uninjured.Sergeant William Strachan said: “My thoughts are with the family at this time and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision to contact us.
