Celebrating blessings is part of Thanksgiving Day celebrations but for many area families, it’s another day of coping with the reality of their struggles.
To ensure no person goes without, Wiregrass 2-1-1 has compiled a list of locations offering free Thanksgiving meals and volunteer opportunities for those who can help provide them. Love in Action International Ministries, 279 West Main Street. Thanksgiving Day from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Providing a Thanksgiving meal for the homeless and to those in need of a Thanksgiving meal. Walk in for a plate. Donations and volunteers needed. Call 494-4995.
