Vertical has released the trailer for Winner, a dark comedy biopic starring Emilia Jones (Locke and Key) as Reality Winner.
Winner is set to hit theaters on September 13, 2024. In addition to directing, Fogel also wrote the film alongside Kerry Howley.The trailer introduces Reality’s earlier years growing up in Texas as well as her time working with the U.S. Air Force which led to her working for the NSA. The trailer also teases that the upcoming movie will highlight the result of Reality Winner’s decision to leak documents about the Russian government’s plan to interfere in the 2016 United States elections.
Apart from Jones as Reality Winner, the forthcoming biopic also stars Connie Britton as Billie Winner, Danny Ramirez as Andre, Kathryn Newton as Brittany Winner, and Zach Galifianakis as Ron Winner.
