The camp is intended for incoming third graders through 12 graders and focused on stance, footwork, catching, running and other skills.A Willis native and star of the gridiron for the Kansas State Wildcats in the late 1990s is headed to the College Football Hall of Fame.
The ceremony takes place Dec. 5 in Las Vegas during the 65th National Football Foundation Annual Awards Dinner. Inductees will also be recognized at their respective collegiate institutions. After a professional career which included a seventh-round selection in the 1999 NFL draft by the New England Patriots, a 2004 Grey Cup win with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League and and Arena Bowl championship with the Chicago Rush, Bishop is currently the head coach for Spring Legacy School of Sports Sciences.
Kansas State had a 22-3 record in the two seasons with Bishop at quarterback. He was a two-time All-Big 12 selection, threw for over 4,400 yards, ran for over 1,300 yards and totaled 59 touchdowns in his two-year stint with the Wildcats. Bishop holds eight Kansas State records. He was inducted into the Kansas State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016.
