" Wicked " missed out on music nominations at the 2025 Golden Globes —hosted by Nikki Glaser on Jan. 5—because it was adapted from the 2003 Broadway musical without new songs written for the screen.The reason being that the film featured very little original music written for the, who also worked on the film adaptation .
