His cars become a symbol of his resourcefulness as he maneuvers through the gritty streets of Los Angeles, meeting clients, investigating cases, and strategizing his defense. The car-turned-office of Mickey Haller is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator, a hugely spacious SUV that offers Mickey plenty of room to carry out his work in the back seat. It can protect against assault rifle fire and hand grenades, offering some of the best protection available for Mickey Haller. Considering the high price point, the money that Hector Moya paid for the armored car probably came from his drug cartel, as did the bodyguard that came with the vehicle.
Another notable license plate in The Lincoln Lawyer appears on his Lincoln Navigator. The plate reads"DISMISSD," which stands for the word"dismissed." The plate establishes him as a lawyer and hints at his high success rate with his cases. The connotation has a slightly different meaning, pointing to him ending many trials before going through an entire court case, an appealing outcome for potential defendants.
