Eagles linebackers Nicholas Morrow and Zach Cunningham had only a little time to work together for last Thursday's game. They will be needed against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Monday night.
“I was trying to figure out what was going to happen,” Morrow said. “I was going to stay positive. Whatever the situation, I was going to be positive about it and try to fight my way onto the field in whatever situation I was going to be handed to me. That was the biggest thing, and I hope everything will work out.”Zach Cunningham
Morrow has been responsible for setting up the defense on the field, wearing the “green dot” on his helmet, allowing him to communicate with defensive coordinator. The Eagles were able to make the necessary adjustments, not giving up many big plays downfield or in the run game. Morrow stated this week that he was happy with how things have turned out.
Cunningham, the seven-year veteran, said it was easy to switch from learning how to play next to Dean to Morrow because of the practices they worked together in August.
