“Isn’t she just the best?” the Oscar winner asked Page Six about his co-star, who became a fan favorite from the HBO series.
F. Murray Abraham is as obsessed with Jennifer Coolidge as the rest of us.
“Isn’t she just the best?” the actor asked Page Six at the Broadway opening of “Pictures From Home” Thursday. “She is not disappointing at all!”in which he played a lecherous senior citizen, Bert Di Grasso, on a trip to Sicily with his son Dominic and grandson Albie . The “Grand Budapest Hotel” star shared that he has been blown away by the response to the HBO series.
“I mean, you always want it to be that kind of warm success, but it’s just astonishing — worldwide!” he exclaimed. “And it’s great to be received the way we’ve been received. It’s almost members of the family. I think certain actors wish for that kind of welcome in people’s lives. Some actors don’t care. I do!”Abraham also shared that he bonded with his on-screen family away from the cameras as well.
“We all became very close. Michael, Adam and I, we hung out a lot together,” he said before noting that DiMarco surprised him with a sweet improvisation while filming.
