The preseason US LBM Coaches Poll top 25 was released on Monday. Alabama was ranked No. 5 in the initial rankings, actually its lowest preseason ranking since 2009.
Ohio State is ranked No. 2, with Oregon third. Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss team sits one spot behind Alabama, in sixth place.Alabama did not receive a first-place vote in the preseason poll. Georgia took 46, Ohio State earned seven, with Texas and Michigan garnering one each. After Ole Miss, the next-highest ranked SEC team is Missouri, which landed at No. 11. LSU sits twelfth.
