Featuring performances by Natasha Bedingfield, JoJo Siwa and Sapphira Cristál, the 23rd annual Chicago Pride Fest lights up the Northalsted neighborhood. The festival offers live music on three stages, drag performances, dance exhibitions, youth programming, guest speakers and a pet parade a week before the 53rd annual Pride Parade.
Chinatown hosts the Dragon Boat Race for Literacy, supporting local reading programs and promoting Asian culture. Time trial races begin on the South Branch of the Chicago River at 8 a.m. Saturday, followed by an opening ceremony and lion dance at 9 a.m. Dance, martial arts and other performances also run throughout the day.chicagochinatown.orgIt’s the height of strawberry season and Long Grove will be serving them up every which way.
