“It was almost like preparing for a hurricane,” said Pete Warzybok, a senior marine ecologist and Farallon Program leader at the Point Blue Conservation Science research institute.
“These kind of storms don’t happen all the time. I think these events are really notable, and we get to capture them, being out here,” Nasr said. “That was something that took quite a bit of time and planning to make sure it was safe,” Nasr said, “and it certainly was.”
